Cost Estimate for Designers
This part is for designers willing to estimate the cost of Tubular Piles and will be developed in future.
Diameter in mm, Wall Thickness in mm Yield strength in MPa of the grade with average unit lengths and number of piles or Total length with coating and interlock height per pile or Total length all in m have to be introduced as per the below example.
Diameter 813 mm
Wall thickness 14,2 mm
Steel Grade S 355 / X 52 i.e. 355 MPa
Average unit length 24,3 m
Number of piles 56
Or Total Length 1.360,8 m
Average anticorrosion coating 8,55 m or total 478,8 m
Average interlock length 16,2 m
Calculation results:
Unit weight (Diameter - Wall) x Wall x 0,0246615 = 279,66 kg/m
Quantity in Tons = 0,27966 x 1.360,8 m = 380,06 t
Total surface to be coated is 0,8128 x ∏ (or 3,14159) x 1.814,4 = 4.633 m2
Total interlocks supply and weld = 32,4 m per pile x 56 = 1.814,4 m
Total freight = Diameter x Diameter x Total length = 0,8128 x 0,8128 x 1.360,8 = 899 cbm
Estimate
Bare Pipe (700 and 1500 €/t) 1.000 €/t x 380,6 t = 380.600 €
Anticorrosion 4.633 m2 x (10 and 60 €/m2) 30 €/m2 = 138.990 €
Interlocks 1.814,4 m x (25 and 60 €/m) 45 €/m = 81.648 €
Inland transport and loading to ship = 390 t x (10 and 100 €/t) 30 €/t = 11.700 €
Maritime freight to closest port free out = 899 m3 x (25 and 150 €/m3) 65 €/m3 = 58.435 €
Discharging and loading to trucks (3 piles 21 t) = (10 and 50 €/t) 20 €/t x 390 t + 19 trucks x (200 and 1500 €) 500 € = 17.300 €
Total CPT on truck = 688.673 €
